Over the Easter weekend I braved the high streets of London. It was surprisingly quiet. Possibly due to most of the high street shops closing down. Instead of spending the day moping about the City, lamenting the loss of making impulse buys, I head to the Elvis Exhibition at the London Arches. I’m not a big Elvis fan, but my friend is, and she loved it.
I was fascinated by the fashion. The King took fashion to the next level and had a major impact on fashion trends. Now I am a conservative girl, so I won’t be rushing out to buy gold lame pants any time soon!
I spent the rest of the day in various coffee shops scrolling the internet for fashion ideas. Ironic isn’t it. I come to London to look at fashion and end up online.

One trend that kept coming up, and I absolutely love, is big pants (no not the huge knickers that push your muffin top up). Wide legged, high waisted trousers. The single most versatile, forgiving, and comfortable piece if clothing designed! (can you tell I’m a fan?). As a woman with big hips any style of big pants are a godsend! Smart enough to be formal, comfortable enough to be casual.
New collection at Curvy Belle. Stretch crepe trousers with elastic waist sizes 10 to 34+ available. Model wears size 24. £79
So ladies, channel your inner Kathrine Hepburn and wear those Big Pants!
